When I found out my grandfather was dying of cancer I flew out to Oklahoma to tell him goodbye. I didn't know how I would tell him goodbye or what I would say. I wanted to make him something that he could look at over his last few months that would make him smile. I made him a scrapbook of all of the grandkids and wrote him a poem called "Moments." When I gave him the gifts he started crying and said it was the best gift he had ever received. He told me "never stop doing this, Never stop doing the things you love." That was one of the last things he ever said to me. Months later I came up with an idea to make picture frames to capture "moments" in peoples lives with magazines , pictures and books inspired from the life and times of my grandfather Vernon Allen.
